So, Here we are 4 months after my first blog post.
We are on the road to recovery from some pretty crappy luck, for lack of better words.
The short list was that my computer died, my daughter "Loolie" had a medical event that put her in the hospital for a couple of days, from the stress of that I ended up with a case of Shingles, I missed a pretty big fiber event thanks to the Brooklyn Rock 'n' Roll half marathon, and we've just been struggling to focus.
Fingers crossed we're good now. I have a new computer, Loolie is okay, I'm recovering from the Shingles (still dealing with some of the nerve pain), getting a chance to update the website over the next few days, and trying to schedule holiday events.
I will say that I'm grateful for my fiber crafts that got me through the stress. They have been my lifeline to serenity at times. During the medical issue with Loolie I raced out of the house, but grabbed a bag of knitting as I went out the door. Ever since I started knitting I don't ever remember a time when knitting stitches couldn't sooth my nerves, well... that was the one time. It was a basic stitch and I just couldn't focus. I proceeded to rip out the entire piece. That did it. The mindless unraveling of the yarn, feeling the fiber going through my fingers, was what got me through. While getting ready to go to sleep at the hospital I looked down at my feet and had 2 different shoes on, but I remembered the bag of knitting.
So be on the lookout this weekend for what I hope to be is a full update of the web-store; including lots of new fiber, yarns, and knitted pieces.
